Welcome to the INFINZ Debt Capital Markets Forum 2008

Thanks to all those who attended the INFINZ Debt Capital Markets Forum 2008 on 7 May 2008 in Auckland. Over 200 senior level professionals were in attendance for strategic discussions on New Zealand's debt capital markets.

Event highlights include the address by Craig Foss, Associate Spokesman for Finance of the National Party who provided a perspective on the role of government in financial markets. There was a generally upbeat mood given the improvement in market conditions, with the event coinciding with the Reserve's Financial Stability Report announcing positive changes to repurchase agreement eligibilty. Overall, investors were optimistic about debt markets opportunities in New Zealand.
